Great response to the Family and Health Day at the GPR Clinic

This year's Family and Health Day at the GPR Klinikum took place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, with great interest and lively participation from the public. Numerous visitors from Rüsselsheim and the region took the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information on health-related topics, actively participate and experience a varied day with the whole family.

Together with the self-help groups and the Groß-Gerau Self-Help Office, the GPR Clinic had put together a diverse program that combined information, prevention, and entertainment. The event was held under the patronage of Mayor Patrick Burghardt.

A special focus was placed on the importance of self-help. Many dedicated groups presented their work and were available for personal conversations. Visitors took full advantage of this opportunity, which offered valuable insights and support options for those affected and their families.

The expert presentations also drew great interest. Topics such as menopausal symptoms, pelvic floor weakness, fall prevention for those with spinal problems, and the effects of secondhand smoke exposure in childhood were presented in a clear and practical manner. The program was complemented by presentations on addiction, depression, and healthy eating, which were very well received. The tasting station featuring various diets also invited visitors to try them out firsthand.

In addition to the informative content, the Health Day offered numerous hands-on activities: a relaxation session and a line dancing workshop provided active recreation and a positive atmosphere for the participants.

A varied program was also offered for children. The popular Teddy Clinic once again proved to be a crowd-pleaser: Here, doctors and nurses lovingly tended to the “injuries” of stuffed animals, playfully helping the young guests overcome their fear of medical treatments. Clown doctors and a creative painting station rounded out the offerings for the youngest visitors.

“The high number of visitors and the consistently positive feedback show how important low-threshold health services and personal interaction are,” summarized the management of GPR Klinikum at the conclusion of the event.

The Family and Health Day has thus once again proven its importance as an information and meeting platform for people in the region.
