Emergency room procedure
The initial assessment (triage) of patients determines the priority and order of treatment. This is conducted at the registration desk or through a brief, targeted examination and interview.
- During the patient’s stay in the Central Emergency Department, a decision is made regarding the patient’s further treatment:
- outpatient treatment
- hospital admission
- Initiation of intensive care
- preparation for surgery
- Cardiac catheterization
- Transfer
In the event of inpatient admission, treatment guidelines for the following 24 hours are established, and further examinations are initiated.
