Our offer for you
With our Mobile Meal Service, we offer you a delicious, varied lunch seven days a week. We deliver it hot to your home every day, right after it’s been packed while still steaming. The food is packaged in disposable containers and is delivered between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Heated compartments in the delivery vans ensure that your meal arrives hot. If you do not wish to eat your meal at the time of delivery, you have the option of obtaining a food warmer from us. With this box, you can keep your lunch warm for up to two hours after delivery.
Who needs our mobile meal service?
Shopping for groceries or preparing meals on a daily basis often poses significant challenges for older, sick, or disabled people. That is why the GPR Health and Care Center in Rüsselsheim offers a "Mobile Meal Service," better known to most as "Meals on Wheels." Through this service, we are able to provide lunch to residents of the city of Rüsselsheim and the surrounding area.
Where does the meal service deliver to?
We deliver throughout the city of Rüsselsheim and to nearby areas, such as Raunheim, Nauheim, and Kelsterbach. If you’re not sure whether we deliver to your location, please give us a call to inquire about our full delivery area.
How do new customers order lunch?
Most often, the initial contact begins with a phone call prompted by a flyer or advertisement. Or friends and relatives have made a recommendation. Often, it is family members who are taking care of their mother or father, who still live in their own home. A friendly staff member explains the ordering process, the delivery procedure, and the convenient billing at the end of the month. The caller is shown an excerpt from the weekly menu, which reflects the rich variety in our meal planning.
We need your order for a daily meal by 2:00 PM the day before (Mon–Fri). You can place your order by phone, email, or by submitting the completed meal plan. If you need additional orders for the weekend, we are only available by phone on Fridays starting at 2:00 PM.
What lunch dishes do we offer?
Every day, you have a choice of three different meal options. We
also offer various dietary options:
- Standard diet
- Diabetic meals/light meals
- Lactose- and gluten-free meals
- Vegetarian dishes
We can also provide pureed meals upon request!
How is the food delivered?
The pre-packed meal trays are gently heated in our ovens. A fleet of special delivery vans equipped with heating units is on standby every day to deliver the hot meals. This ensures that the Mobile Meal Service delivers the food to our customers at the right temperature. Deliveries take place between 10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The delivery time depends on the route schedule.
Special delivery requirements are also taken into account. For example, if a customer has limited mobility, the meal service driver will open the house or apartment door themselves. In this case, the customer provides a key. You decide the frequency of delivery: this is completely flexible, as there is no set weekly order quantity or long-term contract commitment.
How do I pay for my lunch(es)?
When you receive your first delivery, you’ll fill out a registration form and either provide us with a direct debit authorization or pay the monthly amount via bank transfer at the end of the month. You are not entering into any long-term contracts.
