Practice for internal rheumatology

The Rheumatology Department cares for patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus), temporal arteritis, polymyalgia rheumatica, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis.

Special rheumatological examination options are available for this purpose

  • Joint Ultrasound
  • Joint aspiration with analysis of synovial fluid
  • Capillary microscopy
  • Autoimmune laboratory diagnostics
  • Bone scintigraphy
  • X-ray, MRI

Rheumatological treatment options

  • Anti-inflammatory medications (basic therapy, modern biologics including infusion therapy, pain management)
  • Circulation-enhancing agents for ulcers on the hands and feet in patients with rheumatic conditions
  • Therapeutic joint aspiration with cortisone
  • Treatment of osteoporosis in patients with rheumatic diseases

  • Early-Onset Arthritis Clinic (prompt evaluation upon the first symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis: within six weeks of the onset of symptoms)
