Center for Hematology and Oncology
The Center for Hematology and Oncology serves patients from the Groß-Gerau district and the entire Rhine-Main region. The focus in the field of oncology and hematology is on the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care of tumor diseases and disorders of the hematopoietic system. The range of treatments includes tumors of all organ systems, benign and malignant blood and lymph node disorders, as well as blood clotting disorders.
The following treatments are carried out:
- Intravenous and subcutaneous chemotherapy
- Chemotherapy in tablet form
- Antibody therapy, immunotherapy, cytokine therapy, hormone therapy, transfusion of blood and blood components, bisphosphonate therapy, immunoglobulin replacement therapy for immunodeficiencies
- Ascites paracentesis, pleural puncture
- Pain management
- Care and treatment with port systems
- Artificial nutrition via a PEG/PEJ tube or intravenously via a port system in collaboration with qualified nursing services, including home-based artificial nutrition
- Preparation and follow-up care for stem cell transplants
- Cancer follow-up care
- Coordination of psycho-oncological care

If you are experiencing pain, we will support you with effective, personalized treatment. If you would like support in coping with your illness and the resulting difficult life circumstances, our psycho-oncologists are happy to assist you.
You can also take advantage of additional support regarding applications for rehabilitation or nursing care, nutrition, or palliative care counseling.
