Urological tumor diseases
The diagnosis and treatment of urological cancers is one of our areas of expertise. We offer 3Dfusion biopsy, the most advanced method for detecting prostate cancer. In this procedure, areas of the prostate suspected of containing tumors are marked using MRI, fused—that is, superimposed—with 3D ultrasound images, guided by ultrasound, and biopsied with precision. This allows even very small prostate cancers to be detected and treated at an early stage, potentially preserving the organ. For bladder, kidney, testicular, penile, prostate, and ureteral cancers, we perform all radical surgical procedures. For prostate cancer, this includes nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy. Alternatively, treatment can also be performed using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU); radiation therapy is offered in close collaboration with the RheinMainNahe Radiation Therapy Practice, located on-site. In cases of bladder cancer, in addition to transurethral resection, radical cystectomy (total removal of the bladder) is required in some instances. In such cases, we can preserve the quality of life for affected patients by surgically creating a replacement bladder from the small intestine. In addition, we perform all current procedures for drug-based tumor therapy and chemotherapy for our cancer patients, ensuring that the entire course of cancer treatment remains under one roof.
In addition to prostate cancer, our diagnostic and therapeutic focus also includes all other prostate conditions, such as benign prostatic hyperplasia or prostatitis. The treatment of inflammatory and all benign conditions of the urological organs is, of course, also part of our range of services.
Continence Center
As an interdisciplinary continence center, the diagnosis and treatment of urinary incontinence is a particular focus for us. Using imaging and computer-assisted measurements of the bladder and sphincter, we develop the most appropriate treatment plan for each individual. We supplement conservative treatments (medications, physical therapy, continence training, electrical stimulation) with plastic surgery (bladder suspension, slings, artificial sphincter).
Men's health
Our range of services also includes andrology (men’s health), which addresses issues specific to men. We diagnose and treat, among other things, the causes of infertility and erectile dysfunction. In addition to medical treatment, we offer a full range of surgical techniques, including the implantation of penile prostheses. We also perform plastic surgery procedures (e.g., penile corrections for curvature).

Treatment techniques
We perform endoscopic procedures on the bladder, urethra, ureters, and prostate. We offer both traditional electroresection and state-of-the-art laser technology for the removal of prostate tissue as a minimally invasive surgical technique. We also offer laparoscopy (keyhole surgery), for example in kidney surgery.
We remove stones in the ureter, bladder, or kidney using minimally invasive techniques via rigid and now also flexible endoscopy, performing the procedure particularly gently through the urethra or percutaneously (through the skin). Larger stones are碎裂and removed using a stone laser. Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) is available as another form of stone treatment. In this procedure, suitable kidney and ureteral stones are碎裂ed non-surgically using shock waves generated by a device from outside the body. This method of stone fragmentation is particularly gentle on the tissue. We perform minor surgical procedures, such as circumcision, male sterilization, or prostate biopsies, on an outpatient basis.
