GPR Klinikum sets the tone for Children's Hospice Day on February 10

This year, the GPR Klinikum is taking part in the nationwide Children's Hospice Day, which takes place on February 10. As a visible sign of solidarity with children with life-shortening illnesses and their families, the hospital building will shine in green light on this evening.

Children’s Hospice Day was established in 2006 by the German Children’s Hospice Association (Deutscher Kinderhospizverein e.V.) to raise awareness of the situation faced by families caring for a terminally ill child. Green is the symbolic color of children’s hospice care and stands for hope and solidarity. By participating in this initiative, GPR Klinikum is sending a clear signal of support for affected families and the vital services provided by children’s hospice care.

“By illuminating our building in green, we want to express our sympathy and appreciation for the work of children’s hospices, as well as the dedication of the affected families and volunteer helpers,” explains GPR Managing Director Achim Neyer. “We hope that this campaign will help raise awareness of the issue and encourage more people to learn about children’s hospice care.”
