Under the guiding principle “And Peace on Earth,” the ensemble’s concert is a deliberate statement in support of peace and international understanding—and against war, hatred, and polarization. The program features sacred chants spanning several centuries in the first part, and secular songs from Russian and Ukrainian folk music in the second part.
“Harmonie” was founded in 1995 in St. Petersburg by conductor Alexander Andrianov. All members are professional singers as well as graduates or faculty members of the local conservatory. Twice a year, the ensemble tours Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Since March 2022, “Harmonie” has been on its ninth concert tour under the motto “And Peace on Earth”—receiving consistently positive feedback from audiences and the press.
The ensemble captivates audiences with its exceptional tonal beauty and an impressive vocal range spanning from high tenor to deep bass. A particular strength lies in the fact that every singer is also capable of performing as a soloist. The repertoire ranges from 14th-century sacred works to modern compositions and also includes secular music as well as Russian and Ukrainian folk songs. The goal is to present this music as authentically as possible to a broad audience.
“Harmonie” donates a portion of its proceeds to support Ukrainian refugee children in Germany.
At the Rüsselsheim Health and Care Center—and especially at the “Haus am Ostpark” senior residence—we are delighted to welcome the ensemble once again following their successful concerts in recent years. The audience can look forward to an unforgettable musical experience.
