Invitation to the patient school for hip and knee osteoarthritis at the GPR Clinic (copy 3)

The GPR Clinic cordially invites you to the new series of events "Patient school for hip and knee arthrosis". The patient school takes place twice a month on Mondays at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the GPR Clinic and is open to both patients and interested people from outside the hospital. Due to limited participant places, prior registration by telephone (weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 06142 88-4590) or by e-mail (gelenkersatz@gp-ruesselsheim.de) is required.

At the patient education sessions, the Orthopedic Clinic provides comprehensive information about the Rapid Recovery Program, which has been successfully used to treat knee and hip replacement patients since 2012. A key component of the Rapid Recovery Program is the active involvement of patients even before surgery. About ten days before surgery, patients attend the Patient School to be thoroughly prepared for the upcoming procedure. There, they learn which examinations will be performed, when and how they will be mobilized, and how they can actively contribute to their own recovery. This preventive approach not only promotes individual health literacy but also strengthens group dynamics among patients.
